Signalling for Jesus

Roadchick's job involves a lot of time on the road. The novelty of this wore off a long time ago, so the 'chick has developed some strategies to amuse herself during a day spent in the car.

Books on CD are good for the longer drives. Interrupting other people's work days with cell phone calls provides some amusement. Singing along with music CDs can provide some welcome distraction. And, the 'chick loves billboards and bumper stickers.

The other day, while sitting in traffic at a stop light, the 'chick was checking out the bumper stickers on the cars around her. Lots of George Bush lovers and haters. Lots of honor students. One woman's bumper sticker proclaimed she loved her weiner.

At the next light, a different car was in front of the 'chick. His bumper sticker invited the 'chick to "Honk if she loved Jesus".

Since it was so close to Easter, and being in a rather holy frame of mind, the 'chick cheerfully honked her horn.

The driver immediately stuck his arm out the window and flipped her off.

The 'chick is getting a bumper sticker that says: You're Making Baby Jesus Cry.

lmao!! on my way into work today i saw a couple in a beat up taurus arguing. screaming at eachother and waving their hands around. this in itself was bad enough but then i noticed her bumper sticker.

lol,,,,was afraid you were going to say you honked, they took off thinking you were honking at them to go, and got in an accident. Could have been worse apparently.

My mom enlightened me about books on CD. She listens to a few at a time. One in the car, one in the gym, one on her walks, one in the bedroom. She gets the stories all confused and mixed together. One morning, in the car she got all excited because she didn't remember when two characters met, but she had always hoped that they would. I died laughing when she figured it out.

I was once behind a van that had a sticker that said "Don't Knock if it Rocks" with "Yes, we are makin' babies" next to it.

I've wanted a van ever since.

Heather~ or anger management.

Tinks~ that would not be a good thing.

Donkey~ that would have been more enjoyable, from where the 'chick was sitting.

Mist~ the 'chick has a hard time remembering what happened when she just gets out of the car to get gas. More than one story at a time would be disastrous.

Ariel~ with a disco ball?

And shag carpet. If I'm making babies in a van "shag" is required.

Your sticker idea reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw a while back that said: "every time you masturbate god kills a kitten - please think of the kittens!"

I just about went off the road laughing...

Geosomin~great. thanks for the guilt.

Great story! I'd wonder if it was a rental but I hang around Christians all the time - I'm sure it was his car! I guess it's a good thing he's got Jesus to go to with his anger issues!

Great story. I have two bumper stickers on my car. One says that "My Child is an A Honor Roll Student" at their elementary school. The other says, "Show me your tits". Now I think I'll change it to say, "Show me your tits if you love Jesus".

I guess that was an ender.
